IPOB Leadership Bans Use of “Emma Powerful” in Official Communications

The Directorate of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has issued a strongly worded press statement discontinuing the use of the pseudonym “Emma Powerful” with immediate effect.

In the official statement signed by Mazi Chukadibia Edoziem, Head of the Directorate of State, IPOB cited the abuse, misuse, and compromise of the pseudonym “Emma Powerful” by certain individuals and groups. The leadership noted that the continued use of the name poses a serious danger to the movement and the Biafran self-determination struggle.

Consequently, the Directorate of State has resolved that henceforth, all press statements and official communications representing the position of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) must be released exclusively on the organization’s official letter headed paper. Any press statement issued using the name “Emma Powerful” or any other unofficial name, and not bearing the official IPOB letterhead, shall no longer be regarded as authentic or representative of the leadership’s position.

The Directorate urged all Biafrans and supporters to remain vigilant and committed to the core values and non-violent principles of the movement.
