Court Grants BLORD Bail on Self-Recognizance, Orders Passport Deposit

_Abuja, April 17, 2026_

Linus Williams, popularly known as BLORD, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court, Abuja on self-recognizance, with the court ordering him to deposit his international passport as part of the bail conditions.

BLORD, who uses the handle @mrblordofficial on social media, is a businessman and crypto entrepreneur. Blord faces charges in court bordering on impersonation after Media personality and influencer Martins Vincent Ortse, VeryDarkMan petitioned the Police.

Bail on self-recognizance entails a situation where the defendant is released based on a written promise to appear in court, without requiring a surety or monetary deposit. The condition to deposit his international passport is typically imposed to mitigate flight risk.

Omoyele Sowore had criticised the influencer VDM for involving the police over mere social media feud he had with Blord. Sowore’s criticism which did go down well with VDM has degenerated into a public exchange between the Activist and the Media influencer.
