Ejimakor Defends Sowore’s Integrity, Calls Sahara Reporters ‘Africa’s Most Credible’ Platform

Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to embattled Indigenous People of Biafra leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has publicly defended the human rights activist and publisher Omoyele Sowore, describing him as a “beacon of integrity.”
In an update on his official verified X handle, Ejimakor wrote: “The Omoyele Sowore that I know from back in our days in America is a beacon of integrity & you can’t buy him. He has taken great risks to his life in fighting against injustice, working very hard to build @SaharaReporters into Africa’s most credible & successful media platform.🦾”
Ejimakor’s defence comes amidst Martin Vincent Ortse, VeryDarkMan’s attack on the Sowore and his platform, Sahara Reporters. The recent public exchanges involving Sowore, VeryDarkMan, and other public figures on social media have divided activists into warring factions.
Omoyele Sowore is the founder of Sahara Reporters and a former presidential candidate. He lived in the United States before returning to Nigeria, and has faced multiple arrests related to his activism.
Ejimakor has served on Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team since Kanu’s ordeals started. He regularly comments on national issues via his X account.
