Nnamdi Kanu Breaks Silence, Lauds US Activist Mike Arnold’s Advocacy

The embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has publicly commended US-based activist Mike Arnold for “shedding light on the truth” about him and his people.

The US Mike Arnold has made it a point of duty to investigate the alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria. Arnold presented his findings at the United States Congress, highlighting that Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is complicity in what he described as an ongoing genocide in Nigeria. He further pointed out that the incarceration of the IPOB leader, Kanu in Sokoto prison is unjust.

The IPOB leader’s message was conveyed in a press release dated April 25, 2026, issued by his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, via his official X handle.

According to the release, Kanu instructed Ejimakor to convey the following message verbatim to Arnold:

“Dear Mike,
I am writing to acknowledge your remarkable effort in shedding light on the truth about me and my people. Your commitment to the truth is commendable, and I often wonder how different things would be if more voices like yours had spoken up sooner. You can count on the support of the Indigenous People of Biafra and myself. May Elohim guide and protect you always. Thank you.
Ipob leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.”

The message which was prefaced by Ejimakor as thus: “MAZI NNAMDI KANU has instructed me to publicly convey the following message (verbatim) to MIKE ARNOLD”.

Kanu has been in Sokoto dungeon since November, 2025 after the Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja jailed him for life despite serious legal concerns bordering on fair hearing and fair trial. Mike Arnold has not publicly responded to the message at press time.
