Public health expert Dr Laz Ude Eze has lamented the dilapidated state of Ebonyi schools, urging the government to improve funding and facilities in the State’s primary and secondary schools.

Dr. Ude Eze further disclosed that the state has many “naturally gifted” children who could become “super stars” with proper support and improved academic environment.

In a post on his official Facebook handle, Dr Eze wrote:

“Ebonyi has many naturally gifted kids. Imagine the super stars they will become if all primary & secondary schools are properly equipped. #FixEbonyiSchools!”

His post adds to ongoing calls from educators and civil society groups for better infrastructure, teaching materials, and resources in public schools across Ebonyi and other states.

The Ebonyi State Ministry of Education has not publicly responded to Dr Eze’s comments as of press time.
