Human Rights Lawyer Obasi Mourns ‘Favourite Actor’ Alex Ekubo

Human Rights Lawyer Ikechukwu Obasi has expressed deep grief over the reported death of Nollywood Actor Alex Ekubo, whom he described as his favourite actor.

The actor reportedly died at 40 after prolonged battle with ailment.

In a post on his official X handle, Obasi wrote about the loss, saying: “This life is worthless. Life is purposeless. Life is nothing but a ‘summer’s lease’ that is ‘too short’. I can’t believe my favourite actor. Alex Ekubo is gone and gone forever as a result of cancer.”

According to Obasi he died of cancer. Though he did not provide further details on the circumstances of Ekubo’s death.

The post has drawn reactions online, with users sharing condolences and paying tribute to Ekubo’s work.
