‘It Will Be Hard to Pull an Igbo Business Man Down’: Kanu’s Sister In Law Reacts to BLORD’s Bail

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s sister in law Favour Michael Kanu has weighed in on the release of businessman Linus Williams, known as BLORD, describing him as a “blessing” to his community.

In a post on her official Facebook handle, Kanu wrote: “Not a fan, but truth must be told 🎤 This young man right here has been an immense blessing to the youth, widows, aged, and his entire community at large.”

She added: “BLord has created employment and massive job opportunities at his young age, more than many Igbo billionaires… The fact he’s always on his lane, doing his thing, giving hope to the hopeless, food to the hungry, job to the jobless…”

Referencing BLORD’s recent legal battle, Kanu stated: “Why the other black guy started picking on him, trying to drag his business down, unprovoked, still keeps me wondering.” She was obviously describing Martins Vincent Ortse, VeryDarkMan. “the other black guy”.

On BLORD’s bail, she wrote: “Well, HE HAS BEEN GRANTED BAIL and this whole fiasco even made him more popular, more loved, and trust me, this will bring more business opportunities.”

Kanu concluded: “Lastly, it will be hard to pull an Igbo business man down, odikwa hard o, especially one who has widows and old women praying for him day and night. Everything aburokwa social media noise and ring light. Unu nakwa echecki 🤷🏻‍♀️”

“Odikwa hard o” and “unu nakwa echecki” are Igbo expressions roughly meaning “it’s very hard” and “you all should check it,” respectively. “Aburokwa” translates to “is not.”

BLORD was granted bail on self-recognizance this morning after depositing his international passport, according to court updates. His dispute with social media personality VeryDarkMan has played out online in recent weeks.
