Perish The Thought of Aiming To Bring Down VDM, Media Personality Warns Sowore, Dietanuru

Media Personality and Nigerian politician, Maria Ude Nwachi has thrown her weight behind social critic, Martin Vincent Ortse, VeryDarkMan (VDM), telling human rights activist and AAC Presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, broadcaster Diamond Dietanuru and their “cohorts” to abandon any bid to “bring down” VDM.

In a post on her official Facebook handle, Nwachi wrote: “Omoyele Sowore, Diamond Dietanuru & cohorts, aiming to bring down VDM, it will never happen. Perish the thought & stop trying!!”

The comment lands amid a rolling online spat that has pitted VDM against several public figures in recent weeks, sparking heated exchanges across social platforms. Nwachi’s intervention frames the feud as a coordinated attempt to undermine VDM—and declares it doomed to fail.

Nwachi’s swift intervention adds a prominent media voice to the debate and underscores how personality-driven online rivalries are spilling into broader conversations about activism, clout and accountability in Nigeria’s digital public square.

Sowere has criticised Verydarkman for using the Nigerian Police to suppress Billionaire Businessman, Blord following an online feud between the duo. VDM had petitioned the police after accusing Blord of misrepresentation. A move faulted by Omoyele Sowore who prefers seeking civil reliefs to the use of police to suppress Nigerian citizens.
