BIG SLAP: Pan Igbo Activist Ifeoma knocks Phyno Over On Stage Plea To VDM

ABUJA — Media personality and popular Pan-Igbo activist Vivian Ifeoma has criticised an Igbo-born rapper Azubuike Chibuzo, stage-named, Phyno over his public appeal to the Media Personality, Martins Vincent Ortse, VeryDarkMan (VDM) to forgive businessman Linus “Blord” Williams, saying the gesture undermines respect for the Southeast (Ndigbo).

Ifeoma wrote on her official X handle:    “I can’t imagine a northern musician bringing a riffraff on stage and begging him to forgive a fellow northerner on their own soil,”

Ifeoma had reacted after clips showed Phyno urging VDM to forgive and cause the release of Billionaire Businessman, Blord at an event. “That’s a big slap in the face.” she added

“One of the reasons northerners are respected and feared is because of how they carry themselves,” she further added.

The post followed a viral moment in which the award winning Igbo born singer Phyno—paused his performance to address VDM (Martins Otse), who has been in a running public spat with Blord.

Blord is currently remanded in Kuje Correctional center following arraignment at the Federal High Court, Abuja. VDM had petitioned the Inspector General of Police against Blord alleging misrepresentation and personality theft.

While some fans hailed Phyno’s peace move, Ifeoma framed it as self-demeaning and argued that regional pride requires firmer posture in disputes involving prominent Igbo figures.

Her X position has sparked heated debate and drawn split reactions online: supporters say she’s defending Igbo dignity, while critics call the take needlessly divisive and insist an artist can broker peace without it being read as weakness.
